Easy Rigatoni

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, crushed
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
1 teaspoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
8 oz rigatoni
2 tablespoons (1/2 oz) grated Parmesan cheese

Warm oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic. Cook 10 minutes or until tender.  Add tomato paste and cook 3 minutes.  Stir in tomatoes, sugar, oregano, basil, salt and pepper.  Heat to boiling.  Reduce heat to medium-low, cover and cook 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Meanwhile, cook rigatoni according to package directions.  Drain.  Toss with sauce.  Serve with cheese.
